Our Best of Belron experience

This year’s Drive startups were invited to exhibit at the Best of Belron. Around 1500 of Belron’s customers, suppliers and colleagues attended this unique, bi-annual event which, this year, was held in the Messe Frankfurt. Here, they got the chance to listen to a host of world renowned spekers talking on the latest automotive topics, as well as seeing 30 of our best technicians in action as they competed to be the Best of Belron 2018!

The startups not only got to soak up the ‘Spirit of Belron’ and showcase their technology with employees across the Belron brands, they also had the chance to network with our external partners across the automotive industry. Here’s what our startups had to say about their experience…

David Stubbs, RightIndem

What specific outcomes did you get from Best of Belron?
I learnt more about Belron’s national companies and their shared/not so shared sense of common direction. One specific instance was the Italian Auto Repair project where I was delighted to have the chance to make some suggestions as to how we might help.

What did you learn about the Belron brand and culture?
I learnt to be yet more impressed. Belron is an exemplar of many of the values I hold personally, frankly I wish I was as effective at living them in my company as Belron.

Vitalii Istushkin, Soft Edge

What specific outcomes did you get from Best of Belron?
We didn’t expect to have such attention and interest to our stand. We had lots of guests from across the Belron brands as well as Belron’s customers and partners. We received very good feedback from all parties and were able to get confirmation on our ideas and thoughts. Most interesting for us were opinions from our target users such as PDR experts, technicians and insurance company managers. We were able to attend the digital directors dinner and the customers dinner where we were able to make new connections and have some interesting discussions. I got to see some of the speaker sessions – great speakers talking on great themes!

What did you learn about the Belron brand and culture?
I was really amazed! Such an incredibly well organised event. I feel that Belron truly cares about its employees and sees them as family!

Nothing compares to Belron. (OK that’s 4!)

 

Efrat Rapoport, Bonobo

What specific outcomes did you get from Best of Belron?
So many. It was an amazing opportunity to meet with other business units and learn about their needs and challenges and how Bonobo can potentially help. It was simply amazing to meet with notable speakers such as Jon McNeill from Lyft and others. I was left with a couple of very interesting leads and connections and unforgettable memories – it has been the best conference I have been to in my life (and I have been to the Web Summit, Pioneers, Oracle Cloud World and many many others). There was a feeling of togetherness I have never felt in any other place.

What did you learn about the Belron brand and culture?
It was a lesson I will never forget about managing a large organisation and giving meaning to people. I will never forget the pride and smiles on the faces of the technicians. I can only say that as soon as I came back to Israel, our employees, friends and families all watched the videos from BOB – I think it speaks for itself!
